Start with a 14-day free trial - no credit card needed. You get full access to all features on your chosen plan.

Go to app.avelpos.com/app/register
Enter your name, business name, email address, and phone number
Choose your subscription plan (you can change later)
Verify your email address from the link we send
Log in at app.avelpos.com/app/login

Configure Your Business
⏱ 2 minutes

Set up your business profile and receipt settings so every sale looks professional.

Go to Settings → Business Settings
Upload your business logo (shown on all receipts)
Enter your business address and contact number
Set your currency (₦ Naira is default)
Write a thank-you message for the bottom of receipts (optional)
💡 Tip: Your receipt footer is a great place to put your WhatsApp number so customers can reorder easily.

Add Your Products
⏱ 3–10 minutes depending on catalogue size

Add your products one by one, or import them all at once using our Excel template.

Option A - Import via Excel (Recommended)

Go to Products → Import → Download Template
Fill in: Product Name, Category, Price, Cost Price, Opening Stock
Upload the completed file
Review the import summary and confirm

Option B - Add Manually

Go to Products → Add Product
Enter product name, category, selling price, and cost price
Enter opening stock quantity
Set a minimum stock alert level
💡 Tip: Not sure about your cost prices? Put in your best estimate - you can update them later. Inventory tracking starts immediately.

Add Staff & Set Roles
⏱ 2 minutes per staff member

Add your team and control exactly what each person can do. No more staff accessing things they shouldn't.

Go to People → Roles/Permissions
Create roles (e.g. Cashier, Supervisor, Manager) with specific permissions
Go to People → Users → Add User
Enter name, email, phone - assign a role
Staff receive login credentials via SMS
💡 Tip: Use a Cashier role that can only access the POS screen and their own sales. Managers get access to reports and adjustments.

Process Your First Sale
⏱ 1 minute

Run a test sale to confirm everything is working. Use a product you just added.

Click POS Screen in the left menu
Search for a product by name or scan its barcode
Add it to the cart and click Charge
Select payment type and confirm the amount
Check that the receipt prints or sends to WhatsApp correctly
Check Dashboard to confirm the sale appeared in your reports
💡 Tip: You can void this test sale after. Go to Sales → find the sale → click Void.
